My Design & Dev Process for Escort Websites

Categories

Designing and building websites for escorts is not just about creating a stunning online presence—it’s about crafting a platform that aligns with your brand, goals, and vision.

Here’s a step-by-step look at my design and development process, ensuring every site I create is both beautiful and functional.

1. Kickoff Call or Zoom

The process begins with a kickoff call or Zoom meeting where I connect with the client to discuss:

  • Vision and goals for the site
  • Hosting options
  • Content needs
  • Form field requirements
  • Photography requests (the larger the files, the better!)

This conversation sets the foundation for the entire project.

2. Logo Exploration

Next, I dive into logo design. Based on the client’s vision, I create 9-12 logo options in black and white. This keeps the focus on shape and typography without distractions from color.

3. Logo Presentation

I share the logos via PDF, complete with my picks and thoughts. This ensures the client has context for each design and can make an informed decision.

4. Dreaming Up the Design

Once the logo is finalized, I start dreaming up the overall design. This involves:

  • Exploring color palettes
  • Selecting complementary typography
  • Experimenting with patterns
  • Sketching layout options
  • Brainstorming animation ideas

5. Building Locally on My Mac

I set up a local WordPress environment using Local. Starting from scratch each time allows me to learn, simplify my code, and improve my workflow with every project.

6. Designing Site Pages

Using Figma (and occasionally Photoshop), I design initial site pages to give the client a visual sense of the direction I’m heading.

7. Sharing the Design

To present my designs, I create a screen recording where I walk the client through my thought process. I also send the designs as PDFs or JPGs via email for easy review.

8. Building Semantic Pages and Setting Up the Gallery

With the structure in place, I begin building out the site’s pages with semantic HTML. This includes crafting accessible, well-organized layouts that are easy for search engines and screen readers to understand. I also focus on setting up the gallery, ensuring it’s both visually stunning and user-friendly. This step is about transforming raw content into a meaningful, functional framework that aligns with the client’s vision.

9. Feedback and Refinement

After receiving feedback on the design, I begin converting it to HTML and CSS. Unless the feedback requires a major overhaul, the client’s vision starts to take shape in a functional site.

10. Desktop First, Then Mobile

While I advocate for mobile-first design, I typically build the desktop experience first, then adapt for mobile. This ensures a seamless user experience across devices.

11. Adding the Magic Touches

Once the core design is in place, I add animations, loaders, and other subtle touches to give the site a bit of magic and personality.

12. Client Hosting and Browser Testing

I request the client set up hosting so I can upload the site for them to explore. During this phase, I rigorously test the site on:

  • macOS and Windows
  • Tablets and mobile devices

13. Form Testing with Mailgun

Forms are tested to ensure submissions reach the client’s inbox reliably. I typically use Mailgun for this, as it’s a reliable solution for email deliverability.

14. Launch Day

On launch day, I:

  • Double-check that everything is working smoothly
  • Create a social media graphic for the client to announce their new site
  • Stay close to my computer in case of traffic spikes or issues (yes, it’s happened before!)

15. Client Training on Site Updates

To empower my clients to take ownership of their site, I create a series of straightforward training videos. These videos walk through how to update every part of the site, step-by-step. While they might not win any Oscars for entertainment, they’re packed with useful information and designed to make managing their site as easy as possible.

16. Celebrate!

Once the site is live and running perfectly, it’s time to celebrate a job well done. I might toast to the success of another great project or simply enjoy the satisfaction of seeing the client’s vision come to life.

Final Thoughts

Every escort website I create is a unique reflection of the client’s brand and personality. This detailed process ensures the final product isn’t just a website—it’s a platform for success, connection, and growth. Let’s build something amazing together!
